KPU is a dietary supplement provided in a vegetarian capsule containing an optimal combination of zinc in the form of an organic compound (zinc citrate), vitamin B2, vitamin B6 (in the form of P-5-P and pyridoxine hydrochloride), biotin and manganese.

Zinc:

• contributes to the maintenance of normal macronutrient metabolism,

Zinc is a cofactor for enzymes of protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism and nucleic acids, including alcohol dehydrogenase, superoxide dismutase, DNA polymerase, RNA polymerase, alkaline phosphatase, and carboxypeptidase. It is involved in the activity of over 200 enzymes.

Vitamin B2 Riboflavin:

• helps protect cells from oxidative stress,

The most biologically active form of Vitamin B6 is Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate. It is a coenzyme for over 100 enzymes responsible for all body activities, making B6 one of the most ‘hardworking’ B vitamins. Vitamin B6 is involved in the metabolism of amino acids and also plays an essential role in the synthesis of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine and GABA, and in the metabolism of liver enzymes (AST, ALT). Vitamin B6 also contributes to the production of other vitamins, including niacin from tryptophan.

Biotin:

• helps maintain proper condition of the skin and mucous membranes,
• helps maintain normal hair and nail condition,
• helps maintain healthy bones and teeth.

Manganese:

• helps maintain normal energy metabolism,

• heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury),
• ethylene oxide and 2-chloroethanol,
• gluten content.
