Research methodology and study group

The study was performed in the so-called the gold standard in the field of clinical research, meaning it was randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled.

The study involved 114 healthy women aged 45-65, who were randomly divided into two groups – the active group and the control group. The active group took 2,500 mg of collagen peptides daily (the same amount as in the daily dose of Beauty Collagen™), and the control group took a placebo. The study lasted 8 weeks.

At the beginning of the study, the volume of eye wrinkles between both groups did not show any significant statistical differences.

After 4 weeks of use, the active group showed a statistically significant reduction in the volume of eye wrinkles by an average of over 7.2% compared to the placebo group.

After 8 weeks of intake, in the active group, the volume of wrinkles was significantly reduced by an average of 20.1% compared to the placebo group.

Wrinkle volume was calculated using an in vivo optical three-dimensional measurement instrument. The results were also photographed.

Dalton is a unit of atomic mass used to describe molecular weight. Daltons determine the molecular weight of collagen, i.e. the size of the molecules.

High molecular weight collagen is subjected to the action of digestive enzymes, like any other amino acid. A high molecular weight of daltons occurs, for example, in gelatin and it is approximately 25,000 daltons (Da).
