Magnesium Citrate is a dietary supplement containing magnesium salts of citric acid in the form of powder.
Magnesium is an essential and irreplaceable component of the cell’s biochemical functions, which activates more than 300 different enzymes. It is actively involved in important metabolic pathways such as glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, β-oxidation and ion transport across cell membranes. Given its physicochemical properties, Mg2 can bind to the cell nucleus, ribosomes, cell membranes and macromolecules of the cell cytosol.

Ingredients: Magnesium Citrate.
Net weight: 63 g
Servings per container: 78.
Take 830 mg daily (corresponding to 1 flat measuring cup, the measuring cup is provided with the container).
Recommended intake: dissolve the powder in 1⁄2 glass of water or a small amount of room temperature water, stir and consume. The supplement will not dissolve completely; it will remain suspended, which results from the properties of the magnesium salt. Magnesium can be added to smoothies or yoghurt.
We recommend dividing the daily serving into two or several smaller ones. At the beginning of the supplementation, we recommend starting with a smaller portion and gradually increasing it until you reach your target dose.
Magnesium should not be taken together with zinc because of the antagonistic effect on each other and reduced absorption of both substances.
Do not exceed suggested use. A varied diet and a healthy lifestyle are necessary to maintain good health. Dietary supplements should not replace a varied diet. The product is recommended for adults. The product is suitable for vegans.
Warning: if pregnant or nursing, consult your doctor before use.
Organoleptic properties: white powder which leaves a suspension when dissolved in water, with a very delicate sourish aftertaste. After opening the container, the product may naturally turn clumpy if exposed to moisture. Clumping does not affect the activity of the active substance.
Batch tests performed towards:
The tests were carried out at the independent, accredited J.S. Laboratory. Hamilton Poland – Certificates of Accreditation no: AB 1552, AC 155, AC 149, AB 079.
Keep away from the sun at a temperature below 25°C in the original packaging, out of reach of small children. The product naturally turns clumpy. Store in a dry place exposure to moisture will make the supplement clump faster. Clumping does not affect the properties of the substance.

Many different forms of magnesium can be found on the supplement market, which differ primarily in their absorption capacity, but also in their additional effects. First of all, we can distinguish between organic and inorganic forms of magnesium. The differences in assimilability between organic and inorganic forms are widely reported in a plethora of studies. Magnesium from inorganic compounds is said to be absorbed in the average range of 10-16% and as low as 4% in the case of the popular magnesium oxide. This makes an incomparable difference to the absorption of magnesium from organic compounds, which is around 90%.

In addition to good magnesium absorption, magnesium citrate supports the human digestive system. By osmosis, magnesium citrate can retain water in the intestines, which, in turn, promotes bowel movement within half an hour to six hours. Magnesium citrate will support intestinal disorders, especially constipation. In larger quantities, it is also used to empty the bowel in preparation for colonoscopy.

Magnesium salts have a very high volume. In the case of tablets or capsules, the daily serving is generally provided in 3-4 pieces in the largest size. Magnesium powder added to water is a better alternative for many people, especially if they have problems or are reluctant to swallow several large tablets throughout the day.
Magnesium is found in combination with organic or inorganic salts. To be absorbed effectively, the magnesium salt must first dissolve and release Mg2+ ions (the so-called free form). The human requirement refers to magnesium cations (Mg2+) and not to the entire compound found in the product. The mineral salt content specified on some labels is not the same as the ion content. Magnesium compounds differ in their molar mass and percentage magnesium content (as Mg2 ions). To illustrate:
The percentage values are always specified in the raw material certificates and may vary. Above are examples of the most common molar masses.
The best time to take magnesium is rather an ambiguous issue as there are two schools. Magnesium can have a stimulating or calming effect, depending on its form, but also the demand or deficiencies in the body. We recommend that you find your own optimal intake time, whether in the morning, during the day or in the evening.
Magnesium, together with vitamin C and carnitine, can be added to a bidon or a bottle of water and sipped throughout the day
