Propolis, or bee putty, is a mixture of resin and plant balm, wax, essential and aromatic oils, pollen and other substances. It is estimated that propolis, like honey, contains as many as 300 components, many of which have biological activity.

Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris L.) is a plant with small purple flowers, found in Asia, North America and Europe (also in Poland). It is a plant commonly used in herbal medicine.

Mallow promotes healing of the body in:

• rhinitis, pharyngitis and laryngitis,
• dry cough and problems with expectoration,
• constipation,
• diarrhoea,
• digestive disorders.

It helps protect mucous membranes against irritation.

Elecampane (Inula helenium L .) is a plant native to Europe and Central Asia. It is also found in Poland. It is characterised by its yellow flowers. The rhizome with roots is used as a herbal material. The Elecampane root is recognized primarily for its expectorant effect. It also has an effect on the digestive system as it stimulates the secretion of digestive juices, regulates bowel movements and soothes abdominal pain.

Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus Labill.) is a tree mainly found in Australia. Its leaves are used as a herbal material. It is most commonly used in upper respiratory tract inflammation. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.

Thymus vulgaris L., otherwise known simply as thyme, is a plant native to the Mediterranean region but cultivated in many regions of the world. It is widely used in cooking as well as in herbal medicine. Used especially for throat problems as it has antibacterial, fungicidal and expectorant effects.
